It is the longest route and to admire it in the best way it is recommended to follow it downhill. It takes you from via Caccavello, which you can access by funicular (Morghen stop).
The first part of the route is characterized by various colours; like that of the brightly colored houses and the green of the vineyards.
The second part of the route which starts from Via Vittorio Emanuele is characterized by the most authentic and popular Naples, ending with the steps of Chiaia where it will be possible to admire the blue of the sea.
With its 414 stairs, Pedamentina is the longest street in Italy! It connects the Vomero with the famous Spacchianapoli, starting from the viewpoint of the Certosa di San Martino (reachable by funicular).
We will continue the walk, getting lost among the colors and voices of the alleys of the historic center. During the descent you cannot help but stop to admire the city skyline with the majestic presence of Vesuvius.
The Pedementina is the only one created specifically with the aim of connecting Castel dell'Elmo with the lower part of the city. The stairs were created to connect churches and monasteries and escape routes.
To get to the beginning of the Salita Moiariello we start from via Foria and take via Giuseppe Piazzi. The road is straight and narrow with the first steps of the Moiariello staircase at the bottom. Once you reach the first steps, if you have seen the film "Ieri, Oggi e Domani" by De Sica, you will feel like you are reliving the scene. On the sides the vegetation grows spontaneously and leads us to a house with a garden with orange trees and a wonderful mimosa tree. After continuing the climb, there was a stop in the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Moiariello; after passing the curve of Via Ottavio Morisani, the view is breathtaking and it is possible to admire the marvelous Torre del Pasciano surrounded by the mysterious legend narrating the ghost of the doctor, unable to abandon his home and his deceased wife, who was seen appearing several times from the tower to admire the panorama of Naples in the distance. We find ourselves in what the Neapolitans call the Posillipo dei Poveri, thanks to the wonder of its view. The road continues until it reaches Sanità, near Via Foria, to end in Via Giuseppe Piazzi.
Paradisiello is one of the most curious routes in Naples. To reach the aforementioned route you will have to start from Via Foria, one of the most Bourbon streets in Naples with its historic buildings and the famous Botanical Garden. It is from the Royal Botanical Garden that the journey will begin! Start from the rapid climb where you can also notice the historic church of Santa Maria Degli Angeli, to the right of the aforementioned church (about 50 meters) we can notice a narrow alley that goes almost unnoticed, here we are in Vico del Paradisiello. Step after step you will have the idea of a journey into the past, among eighteenth-century villas and coats of arms of noble families. A route that will give us the idea of being in the countryside but still remaining in the city, which is equivalent to a treasure to be cherished and preserved!
